Amoeba is a single called microscopic organism. it has a cell membrane , a nucleus and many vacuoles . It pushes out one or more finger like projection called pseudopodia or falsefeet for movement and capture of food .

  1. When the food particle comes near to the amoeba , it changes its shape and make pseudopodia to engulf the food
  2. The food becomes trapped in a food vacuole . Here the digestive juices act on the food and break it into simpler substances
  3. The digestive food is absorbed and are used for the growth and multiplication
  4. The undigested food is removed from the body by the vacuole
