Amoeba is a single called microscopic organism. it has a cell membrane , a nucleus and many vacuoles . It pushes out one or more finger like projection called pseudopodia or falsefeet for movement and capture of food .
- When the food particle comes near to the amoeba , it changes its shape and make pseudopodia to engulf the food
- The food becomes trapped in a food vacuole . Here the digestive juices act on the food and break it into simpler substances
- The digestive food is absorbed and are used for the growth and multiplication
- The undigested food is removed from the body by the vacuole
