let the angles be A and B
and A be the larger one
given A-B=44..............................................eq1
as they are supplementary,
A+B=180..........................................eq2
adding eq1 and 2
          A+B=180
_____A-B=44
A=112,B=68 degrees

Here is your answer,

let the first angle = x.
and the second angle = x+44 .
the sum of two supplementary angel is 180
x+ x+44 = 180
2x=180-44
x=136÷2
x=68
then the first angle is 68° and second angle is 112°.
