Let larger angle= x Smaller angle = y Given that x & y are supplementary angles Hence, x+y= 180.......(1) Also, larger angle is 36° more than smaller angle , that is, x=y+36......(2) Substitute equation(2) in (1), y+36°+y=180, 2y+36=180, 2y= 180-36, 2y= 144, y=72° Now, x= y+36=72+36=108° Answer: x=108° ; y=72°

let x = measure of smaller angle
then
x+36 = measure of larger angle
x + x+36 = 180
2x+36 = 180
2x = 144
x = 72 degrees (smaller angle)
.Larger angle:
x+36 = 72+36 = 108 degrees (larger angle)
