Given,

Amongi had \frac{5}{11} of a sugar cane and gave \frac{2}{11} Patrick.

We have to find what fraction of the sugar cane  remain with Amongi.

In order to find the remaining sugar can with Amongi

We have to subtract Amongi have sugar cane to Amongi gave sugar cane to Patrick.

Now,

Amongi have sugar cane = \frac{5}{11}

Amongi gave sugar cane to Patrick = \frac{2}{11}

Remaining = \frac{5}{11}-\frac{2}{11}

=\frac{5-2}{11}

= \frac{3}{11}

Therefore, \frac{3}{11} of the sugar cane remain with Amongi.
