The amount of cfc and ozone are interrelated because when there is a increase in cfc the amount of ozone gets reduced . When the release of cfc is under check the depletion of ozone gets reduced.

The earth is protected from the harmful UV rays of the Sun due to the presence of an Ozone layer over the atmosphere of earth.

Normally, this ozone layer undergoes degradation and Reformation automatically by absorbing the sun's rays.

However with the increased amount of Chloro fluoro carbons, this process is blocked as the CFCs bind irreversibly to the ozone ions thereby blocking their regeneration.

As a result of this there is is thinning of the ozone layer.
