The amount of water vapour in air is called absolute humidity. The amount of water vapour in the air as compared with the amount of water that the air could hold is called relative humidity. This amount of space in air that can hold water changes depending on the temperature and pressure.

Absolute humidity:-

Absolute humidity is the measure of water vapour in the air, regardless of temperature. It is expressed as gram of moisture per cubic metre of air (g/m3)

The maximum absolute humidity of warm air at 30degreeC/86degreeF is approximately 30g of water vapour 30g/m3.The maximum absolute humidity in cold air at 0degreeC/32degreeF is approximately 5g of water vapour 5g/m3

Relative humidity:-

Realtive humidity also measures water vapour but RELATIVE to the temperature lf the air.It is expressed as the amount of water vapour in the air as the percentage of total amount that could be held as its current temperature
