answer : option (d) 0.5 N

explanation : maximum force , F = m\omega^2A

where m is mass of body, \omega is angular frequency and A is amplitude of particle execute simple harmonic motion.

we know, \omega=\frac{2\pi}{T}

= 2π/(π/5) = 10 rad/s

amplitude , A = 0.5 m

and mass , m = 10g = 10^-2 Kg

so, maximum force , F = 10^-2 × (10)² × 0.5 N

= 10^-2 × 10^2 × 0.5 N

= 0.5 N

hence, maximum value of force acting on the particle is 0.5 N
