Statement of the given problem,

An (8 1/2 =) 17/2 ounce package of Ruffles potato chips contains about 9 servings of chips.

If you are planning a party for 15 guests, about how many ounces of chips would you need? Round your answer to the nearest tenth?

According to above data,the required amount of potato chips= (15/9)*(17/2) = 85/6 = 14.2 (ounces) [Ans]
