An 8m high pole is 9m away from a building. If the distance between the top of the pole and the top of the building is 15m, find the height of the building .

Answer:

15^2 - 9^2 = 12^2 (by Pythagoras theorem)

Height of the building = 12 + 8 = 20 m

Ans 20m
