P =2.5 kW = 2500 W
We have the formula,
P=VI
2500 = 220I
So, I = 2500/220 = 250/22
= 125 / 11 = 11.36 A
Now since the fuse rating is just 5 A but the requirement of A.C. is 11. 36 A.
When the Ac. is switched on then the fuse wire will melt due to overheating and the circuit will ultimately broken and AC. will not work.
