Explanation:

rms = peak / √2

= 14.14 /1.414

= 1414 x 10^-2/1414 x 10^-3

= 10^ -2+3

= 10¹

phase angle is (wt + π)

phase constant,epoch = π

Given :

i = 14.14 sin(ωt + π)

To Find :

RMS value and phase angle of current.

Solution :

We know, the RMS current is equal to [Peak current (i₀) ÷ √2]

∴ RMS current = \frac{i_o}{\sqrt{2} }

                         = \frac{14.14}{1.414}

                         = 10 A

Hence, the RMS value of current is found to be 10 A.

In the given equation, i = 14.14 sin(ωt + π), we can see that the current is leading the EMF by π. Thus,

The phase angle of the current is π.
