As a deaf and a blind girl, it was very difficult for Helen to survive. She needed help and she got full support from her parents. They decided to meet Mr Alexander Graham bell, a physicist in a hope to get some help. When they met Graham bell, he was so kind and nice with them. Graham bell even asked Helen to sit on his lap in order to become frank with her. He even gave his watch to Helen to play. As Helen was busy he start his conversation with her parents. He advised them to visit the Perkins institution of blind as it was a helpful institution. So this changed Helen's life as she met her teacher Anne Sullivan in Perkins because Anne was her candle in her dark life who changed a handicapped person's life.
