Hello user

Let the total matches he played be x

He won 70% matches

So, he lost 30 % matches

According to question,

30x/100 = 45

x = 450/3

x =150

So, total number of matches he played is 150.

Hope it works

Let the number of matches he played overall = 'x'.

(i)  Number of matches he won = 70%.

(ii) Number of matches he lost = 30%.

Given that, he lost 45 matches in his career.

⇒ 30% of x = 45

⇒ 30/100 * x = 45

⇒ 30x = 4500

⇒ x = 4500/30

⇒ x = 150.

Therefore, the number of matches he played overall = 150.

Hope this helps!
