  • Ratio of distance covered = Ratio of time taken.
  • Product of means = Product of extremes.

Let, the distance covered by the aeroplane in 8 hours be x.

 \\

Substituting the values according to the formula ;

 \\

Ratio of distance covered = Ratio of time taken.

 \\   : \implies  \tt\: 2415 \:  :  \: x \:  :  :  \: 6 \:  :  \: 8

Product of means = Product of extremes

 \\  \pmb {\underline{Cross \: multiplying \: them \:  :  }} \\

  : \implies \tt \: x \times 6 = 2415 \times 8 \\\\\   : \implies \tt \: x =  \frac{2415 \times 8}{6} \\\\\   : \implies \tt \: x=\frac{19320}{6} \\\\\       \bigstar \:  \: {\color{purple}{\underline{ \boxed{\longrightarrow \tt \:x=3220 }}}} \:  \:  \bigstar \\

Hence, the aeroplane will cover 3220 km in 8 hours.
