This phenomenon can be explained by projectile motion.
When the bomb is dropped , the plane has some velocity(which is not 0) and hence the bomb which is inside the plane also has the same velocity, when the bomb is dropped it has an initial velocity equal to that of the velocity with which the plane was moving, hence it falls ahead instead of falling horizontally.
You may have also seen couple of 'plane dropping bomb' scenes in movies(or tv) and you may notice that the plane after dropping the bomb turns left and moves in that direction , this is also because of the same reason , if they do not turn then the bomb which they dropped will go off near them killing them!
