Explanation:

Given An aeroplane is flying at constant height of 1.96 km with speed 600 km/h towards a point directly over a target. At what angle of sight should it release a bomb if it is to strike the target on the

ground?

Given v = 600 km / hr = 600 x 1000 / 3600 = 166.66 m/s

By using equation of motion

 we get h = ut + 1/2 g t^2

           1960 = 0 + 1/2 x 9.8 t^2 (19.6 x 1000 = 1960)

           So t^2 = 1960 x 2 / 9.8

             Now t^2 = 400

           t = 20 secs

Now v x t = 166.6 x 20 = 3332 m

We know that tan θ = AB / BT = h / t = 1960 / 3332

        So tan θ = 0.588

       So θ = tan^-1 0.588
