Answer:

3hr 16 min

Step-by-step explanation:

Speed(1st plane) = distance/time

           = 3600/3 = 1200 km/hr

Speed(2nd plane) = 100 less than 1200

                              = 1100 km/hr

For the 2nd plane,

1100 = distance/time = 3600/time

⇒ time = 3600/1100

⇒ time = (36/11) hr = (33 + 3)/11 hr

            = 3hr + (3/11) hr

            = 3hr + (3/11)*60 min

            = 3hr + 16.36 min

            = 3hr + 16 min + 0.36 min

Ignoring the smallest term,

time taken = 3hr 16 min

Given :-

An  aero plane takes 3 hour to cover a distance of 3600 kilo meter and other aero plane travel at a speed which is 100 kilo meter per hour less than first aero plane

To Find :-

How long will the second aero plane take to cover the same

Solution :-

At first speed = Distance/Time

Speed(1) = 3600/3

Speed(1) = 1200 km/hrs.

Speed(2) = Speed 1 - 100

Speed(2) = 1200 -100

Speed (2) = 1100 km/hrs.

Since we have to find time

Distance = Length

3600/time = 1100

time = 3600/1100

time = 36/11 or  (33 + 3)/11 hr

Time = 3hrs. + 3/11hrs.

Time = 3hr + 16.36 min

Time = 3.16 hrs.
