An afforestation drive led to a 20% increase in the number of trees in the forest area over a year. During this period 10% of the trees were cut dow in different parts of the forest. If there were 20,00 trees in the forest, find the percentage of new tree in the forest now.​

Now, total number of trees after the drive = 2400

but during the drive 10% trees were cut down so those trees were also replaced by new trees.

So, total new trees planted during the drive = 400 + 200 = 600

so, percentage of new tree in the forest now = 600/ 2400 X 100 = 25%
