An aircraft travelling at 600 kilometre per hour accelerates steadily at 10km/h per second . taking the speed of sound as 1100 km/h at the aircraft's altitude how long will it take to reach the sound barrier.

\huge \mathbb{\boxed{\red{Solution\:}}}

Initial velocity, u = 600km/h

Final velocity, v = 1100km/h

Acceleration = 10km/h/s=600km/h²

From relation,

a \:  =  \:  \frac{(v \:  -  \: u)}{t}

t =  \frac{(v  \: - \:  u)}{a}

t = ( 1100 - 600 )

600

t = 500/600

t = 5/6hr

t = 50sec

∴ The time reach the sound barrier is 50sec.
