let speed of wind = y
speed of plane = x
relative speed = x-y [CASE 1 ]
d= s×t
so 8(x-y) = 6000
x-y = 750. (1)
8(x+y) = 6720. [CASE 2]
x+y = 840. (2)
adding 1, 2 equations,
2x = 1590
x= 795 km/h
so speed of plane = 795 km/h
speed of wind = 840 - 795 = 45km/h
