An aldehyde as well as a Ketone can be represented by the same molecular formula C3H6O. Write their structures and name them. State the relation between the two in the language of science....

C3H6O stands for :CH3CH2CHO - propanaldehyde or propanal CH3COCH3. - acetone or propanonethese two belong to carbonyl compounds. they are functional isomers of each other. aldehyde -CHO and ketone . Both have a carbonyl group =C=O.

The structures are given in the images attached.
The aldehyde is - Propanal
Ketone is - Propanone 

The relation between the two are - they are structural isomers.
They have same molecular formula , but different structures.
