add the quantity of both metals which will 7 1/2=15/4+3/4 . which will result to 33/4 .next take ratio of copper to alloy which is 15/4:33/4 =15/4 ÷33/4= 15/4 ×4/33 .now by simplyfying answer will be 15/33=5/1 1 which means 5:11 ..so ratio of copper to alloy is 5:11 .
