The rest as zinc, 100-32-40=27,
So alloy is 27% zinc.

1 kg of alloy would contain  kg. of zinc.
27000 grams zinc, or 0.27 kilograms zinc.

Let the % be x.

40 + 32 + x = 100

72 + x = 100

x = 100 - 72

x = 28.

Given, Mass = 1 Kg

So, mass of zinc = 28 / 100

= 0.28 Kg.
