Let the weight of copper be X

Ratio of alloy = 2:11 = 2/11

Weight of zinc = 28.6 grams

A/q

2/11 = X/28.6
=> 11×X = 28.6×2
=> 11X = 57.2
=> X = 57.2/11
=> X = 5.2

Hence,
Weight of copper = 5.2 grams

ANSWER:

5.2 grams or 5 1/5  grams

Step-by-step explanation:

Let zinc be 11x.

Let copper be 2x.

Therefore 11x= 28.6 grams

Therefore x= 28.6/11= 2.6

Therefore copper= 2.6 x 2 = 5.2 grams or 5 1/5 grams
