an alloy metal consists of 59% copper, 29% zinc and the remaining lead , calculate the percentage of lead in the alloy ?

let the percentage of lead be x

x+59+29=100
x+88=100
x=100-88
x=12

the % of lead is 12%

% of copper + % of lead + % of zinc = 100%
59% + 29% + Lead percentage = 100%
Lead percentage = 100% - 88% = 12%.
