Given:

an amount of rs 6600 is divided among three partners X,Y and Z.

To find:

The share of each partner

Solution:

As we have given the condition that can be expressed as:

X/Y+Z = 3/7

  • X+Y+Z = 3+7 = 10

Y/X+Z = 13/20

  • X+Y+Z = 13+20 = 33

but the sum of the share must be same so make it same

(X/Y+Z = 3/7)33

  • X/Y+Z = 99/231
  • X+Y+Z = 99+231 = 330

(Y/X+Z = 13/20)10

  • Y/X+Z = 130/200
  • X+Y+Z = 130+200 = 330

Shares of the

  • X = 99
  • Y = 130
  • Z = 101

330 ------- rs 6600

1 ----------- rs 20

So the shares of the partners are given by:

  • X = 99×20 = 1980
  • Y = 130×20 = 2600
  • Z = 101×20 = 2020

The share of each partner are rs 1980, rs2600, and rs2020
