Complement of x is (90° – x)
Given x = 1/2 × (90° – x) + 30°
⇒ 2x = (90° – x) + 60°
⇒ 3x = 150°
∴ x = 50°

⇒ 2x = (90° – x) + 60°
⇒ 3x = 150°
∴ x = 50°
