Let the required angle be x°

Then,it's complement= (90-x)°

Now,As Per Question------

=>(90-x)-x=40

=>90-2x=40

=>-2x=40-90

=>-2x= -50

=>x= -50/-2

=>x=25

Hence,measure of the required angle is 25°

Add 40 to each side. Divide by 2. One of the angles is 65 degrees, and the other is 40 degrees less, meaning its 25 degrees.
