Given:

An angle is 80° less than three times it's supplementary

To find:

The angle

Solution:

\boxed{\bold{Supplementary\:Angles }} :- When two angles add up to give 180° then they are known as supplementary pair of angles.

So,

If we assume "x°" as the angle then "(180 - x)°" will be its supplement.

According to the question, we can form an equation as,

x\° = 3(180 - x)\° - 80\°

\implies x\° = 540\° - 3x\° - 80\°

 \implies x\° + 3x\°= 540\°  - 80\°

\implies 4x\° = 460\°

\implies x\° = \frac{460\°}{4}

\implies \bold{x\° = 115\°}

Thus, the angle is 115°.
