Dear friend,

I am extremely sorry that the story book you gave to me has been destroyed by me.

It was unintentional because I had kept the book on the top of a cupboard. It fell down upon a burning stove and many pages got burnt.

I apologise for the carelessness and promise that I will pay you the cost of a new book when we meet next time.

Dear Friend,

I am sorry to inform you that the physics book which you lent me was drenched in the rain along with all my other books. I was on the way home from coaching class and it started pouring down heavily. The rain was so heavy that the streets were flooded and i could not stop anywhere. I searched shelter but i could not find any. I know it is my responsibility to take care of the book. I am sorry. I promise to buy you a new physics book as soon I see you.

Yours Lovingly,
