 \huge \tt Solution:-

  • The length of aquarium =l=80cm

  • Width of aquarium =b=30cm

  • Height of the aquarium= h = 40 cm

  • Area of the base = 1 x b = 80 ×30
  • = 2400 cm

  • Area of the side face=b×h = 30 ×40
  • = 1200 cm

  • Area of the back face = 1× h = 80 ×40
  • = 3200 cm

  • Required area = Area of the base + area of the back face+ (2 x area of a side face)

  • = 2400 + 3200 + (2 x 1200) = 8000 cm

Hence the area of the coloured paper required is 8000 cm².

Answer:

The length of the aquarium= l = 80cm

Width of the aquarium = b = 30cm

Height of the aquarium = h = 40cm

Area of the base = b = 80×30 = 2400cm²

Area of the side face = b×h = 30×40 = 1200cm²

Area of back face= h = 80×40 = 3200cm²

Required area=Area of base + area of the back face + (2 × area of a side)

= 2400 + 3200 +(2×1200) = 8000cm²

Hence, the area of the coloured paper required is 8000cm²
