An aqueous solution of Ammonium chloride (NH₄Cl) is acidic as it is formed by the reaction of a strong acid (HCl) with a weak base (NH₄OH).

NH₄OH + HCl ------> NH₄Cl + H₂O

While NaCl being formed by the reaction of a strong acid (HCl) with a strong base (NaOH) is the reason for its neutral nature.

NaOH + HCl -------> NaCl + H₂O

Hope it helps
