Given :  An architect wants to build a scale model of a building that is in the shape of a rectangular prism. The building has a height of 45 ft., a width of 90 ft., and a length of 300 ft. The scale model is 10% of the size of the building

To find :  length and width of the scale model

Solution:

scale model is 10% of the size of the building

Original length =  300 ft

10 %  of 300 ft = (10/100) 300  = 30 ft

Hence Scale model length is 30 ft

Original width =  90 ft

10 %  of 90 ft = (10/100) 900  = 9 ft

Hence Scale model width is 9 ft

Scale model length is 30 ft

Scale model width is 9 ft
