Humans love variety. Be it in simple, everyday matters like food, or more important things like cars or a home, we love to see them in different kinds even though we may not want to have or experience all the different varieties. But one of the greatest varieties in life can be found in humans themselves. Though we are just of two kinds, the characteristics that define male and female make us very different and make the debate about which sex is better a very common one. As for me I hold the opinion that women are better that men and this is not just because I am a woman, as you will see in the following paragraphs.

             On the home front women are the ones that keep the family going. They clean the house, take care of the children, do the laundry, cook for the family and many times work to pay the bills. They wake up at 5am just like men do, do the same kind of work and get home only to get on their second job – homemaking, while the man hides behind newspaper thanking God he is not a woman. He also hides under the excuse that the very nature of women makes them fit these roles – they are emotional, sympathetic and empathetic, loving, resourceful and economical. But whatever makes women natural homemakers does not matter here, the fact is that men need to do more than just providing the financial needs of the family to be better than women.

             Money only helps in providing material things for us. When it comes to what makes good children, youths and later adults, it is parental training. Our parents need to be there all through our developing years teaching and disciplining us. Here too, men are found wanting. It is the mother that stays with the child all day, taking him to school, bringing him back and providing the much-needed education and correction. Although men possess some good characters like courage, strength and forthrightness, most of them put all of these into their careers with nothing left for their family.

"Women can be as brave as men." In this statement there is no need of "can be" it should be replaced by "are" because women have proved themselves capable enough to compete with men. Today they can stand and live their lives on their own terms.

In fact, bravery is not about physical strength but strength in character. Mahatma Gandhi also said "Strength does not come from physical capacity, It comes from an indomitable will.

We know eminent personalities like Kiran Bedi, Sarojini Naidu and Rani lakshmi Bai made a great name in history of India and proved themselves they are as brave as men.

A Woman can not only perform household jobs but also can manage their works outsidez which is somewhat difficult for a man to do.

It is said that pain shapes a woman into warrior. Rani lakshmi Bai is a great warrior who had attacked many enemies and skillfully fighted against Britishers like male warrior. Se had the courage at heart and soul and skill of bravery in her hands and mind....

Not only warriors but common women also like Sunitha Krishnan who is a Indian activist and co-founder of Prajwala that rescues and rehabilitates sex-trafficked victims in society. Krishnan was gang raped at the age of 15, so the fire that resulted from the incident has transformed her into a passionate social worker. Till now, she had saved thousand victims.

Many women like Kalpana Chawla - who dare to claim the sky, was first woman to go on moon. On the other hand, Junko Tabei was first woman to climb the Mount Everest.

For women to be as brave as men depends upon themselves also. It is their choice they have to be coward or courageous. They should stand out and prove themselves that they are as brave as men.

Men also have to understand that they are not superior than women and should treat them with respect. People also has to change their mindset that if a boy is crying, he should not be told to stop crying like a girl but instead he should be told to be as brave as girl.

Last but not the least, ❝ The most beautiful thing a woman wears is her confidence.❞
