An arithmetic sequence is a sequence of numbers a 1, a2, a3,... where an - an-1 has the same value for
every n.
For example, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10,....is such a sequence where the difference between any 2 consecutive
numbers is 2.
Given, a, b, c, d, and e are consecutive numbers in such a sequence and
a + b + c + d + e = 95. Find the value of c?

1st term =a,2nd term =a+d,3rd term =a+2d, 4th term =a+3d,5th term =a+4d since they are in arethmatic progress so a+a+d+a+2d +a+3d+a+4d=95 or,5(a+2d)= 95 or, a+2d =19 therefore c=3rdterm=19
