an army contingent of 104 member is to march behind band of 96 members ina parade . the two grps are to march in the same no. of columns . what is the maximum no. of columns in which they can march?​

Then , x is the largest number, which should divide both 104 and 96

104=96×1+8

96=8×12+0

Hence, HCF of 104 and 96 is 8

So, 8 columns are required.
