Answer:

Let us assume that a man eats ' x 'units of food in a day .

Total ration available = 240 men × 28 days × x

= 6720 x units

number of men were sent to the camp = 112

quantity of food 112 men will eat in one day

= 112 × x = 112x units

number of days the food will last

= 6720x / 112 x = 60 days

therefore , the provisions will last for 60 days.

Answer : 60days
