Malala Yousafzai is a very important person to the world. She has helped us by fighting for woman's education when she was very young. She has also received many prices for showing her courage. She was born on was born on July 12, 1997, in Mingora, Pakistan.
Being a girl child, she became promoter or supporter for girls' education. Due to this, Talibans started threatening her of death.
On October 9, 2012, when she was traveling back home from her school which she used go (which was founded by her father), in the bus, a masked man, shot her through her head. This led to a very serious injury, and she was admitted in a military hospital. For better care, she was then sent to England. She had been through many surgeries, there was no damage done to her brain.
Soon after she was well, she started speaking of how important it was for girls to study. She gave a speech in the United Nations.
She was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2013. In 2014, she was nominated again and this time she won. She then became the youngest person to get the Nobel Peace Prize.
She has got many other prizes for her bravery too. Some awards are- Nobel Peace Prize, Sakharov Prize, Simone de Beauvoir Prize, National Youth Peace Prize, Sitara-i-Imtiaz, etc.
