Let C.P. of the article be Rs.p.Then,x=85% of Rs. p=Rs.85100p.and,y=115% of Rs. p=Rs.115100p.∴(y−x):(y+x)=(115100p−85100p):(115100p+85100p)=30100p:200100p=310:2=3:20
