Examinations kill education, really I am agreeing with this. Exams are just to check the memorizing ability. I know many people who will score well in exams but they will be poor in practicals, this is because of their memorizing ability. Exams are just to vomit the words to answer sheet that had eaten from books. From my opinion, I will say that education system should be changed and practicals should be concentrated more.

It is wrong to emphatically say that written exam is no good. In a populous country like India, there has to be a mechanism by which students and applicants for jobs are graded, selected or rejected; the best way to do it is through written tests.However, it is also true that written examinations are not the be all and end all of our learning process, just as rote learning does not enhance our knowledge.

We should be taught from early childhood that we must study to acquire knowledge,not merely to pass exams. Hence, memorising lessons without understanding the subject has to be discouraged. Our parents and teachers must encourage us to read books on diverse subjects in our leisure, so that we are able to widen our outlook as well as interest. Reading used to be a matter of habit for many earlier, but with the arrival of the computer and the television, it has become a rarity; this has to be revived by seekers of knowledge and wisdom.
