An artificial satellite is moving in a circular orbit of radius 42250km. Calculate it's speed in km/s, if it takes 24 hours to revolve around the earth.​

Explanation:

r = 42250 km

distance covered in one revolution = 2πr

                                                           = 2×22/7×42250

                                                           = 265571.43 km

time taken for 1 revolution = 24 × 3600 = 86400s

∴ speed of satellite = distance/time = 265571.43/86400

                                                           = 3.07 km/s

                                  in km/h speed = 11065.48 km/h
