An athlete completes one round of a circular track of diameter
200 m in 40 s. What will be the distance covered at the end of 2 minutes 20 s?

Given-

  • Diameter of a circular track =200m

Circumference of circle =2πr = 2×22/7×100

 \large \implies{ \frac{4400}{7} }

Time for which the athlete ran = 2 min 30sec

Therefore,

Distance covered by athlete -

 \large \implies{ \frac{4400}{7}  \times  \frac{140}{40} }

 \large \implies{2200m}
