An athlete completes one round of a circular track of diameter 200 m in 40s . What will the displacement at the end of the 2minutes 40s ?

Let athlete runs a track of extra 0.

Radius of track,

 \tt \: r =   \cancel\frac{200}{2}  = 100m. \\

Round complete in 40 s = 1

Rounds complete in 2 min 20 s i.e. 140 s

 \tt = \cancel  \frac{140}{40}  = 3.5 \\

Distance covered = 3.5 times for circumference

 \tt = 3.5 \times 2\pi \: r \\  \\  \tt = 3.5 \times 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 100 \: m \times 2 \\  \\  \tt = 2200 \: m

Therefore distance ( s) will be 2200 m

• Displacement = 0

Therefore, Displacement will be 0.
