Total distance traveled by an athlete=150+50=200m
The Total time en=2min=2*60 sec =120+20=140sec
Average Speed=total distance travelled/total time taken =200/140 =1.43metre/sec2
Average Velocity=displacement/time
But here as there is no particular data about the initial and final positions in the above-given problem.

Average speed = total distance covered/total time taken
Convert 2 min into sec i.e. 120 s
= 150+50/120+20
= 200/140
= 1.4285714286
As the athlete is moving on a straight path so the average Speed is equal to the average velocity.
