Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

A ground has a radius of 280 meters

Perimeter of the ground =

2\pi \: r \\ 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 280 \\  =  >   2 \times 22 \times 40 = 1760 \\  =  > 1760m

Perimeter of the ground is 1760 m

1760 m = 1.76 km

Solving :-

1 round = 1.76 km

5 rounds = x km

cross multiply we get

x = 1.76\times 5 \\  =  > x =8 .8km

so totally after 5 rounds an athlete runs 8.8 km
