An athlete runs 7 times around a rectangular playground of 60m long
and 50m wide. What is the total distance covered by him?

Answer:

Length of playground = 60m

Breadth of playground = 50m

Perimeter of the rectangular playground = 2(l + b)

2 × ( 60 + 50 )

2 × 110

220 m

Distance covered by athlete in one time = 220 m

Distance covered by athlete in 7 times = 220 × 7

= 1540 m
