An autorickshaw fare in a city is such that, 50 is the fixed amount charged for first two
kilometres and 16 per kilometer is charged for the subsequent distance covered. Taking the
total distance covered as 'x' kilometre and total fare as 'y' rupees , write a linear equation in 'x' and 'y'.
Also find the fare for 5km.

for 2 km there would be only 50
and for next each 1 km charge would be 16. that means first two km are useless (fixed) but matters after. so I can say
y=50 +(x-2)16
simplifying
y = 16x + 18
putting x=5 you'll get 98.
