Answer:

S.P of an egg is 1.08 Rs

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that-

An egg seller purchased 500 eggs.

C.P of eggs = 460 Rs

Egg broke while carrying = 10

So, total egg = 500 - 10

Total egg = 490

According to question, shopkeeper earned 30 Rs profit.

So S.P. of 490 eggs = C.P + Profit

                                  = 500 + 30

S.P of 490 eggs = 530 Rs

So, selling price of an egg = \ddfrac{S.P \ of \ 490 \ eggs}{490}

                                     = \dfrac{530}{490}

                                            = 1.081 Rs

Hence, S.P of an egg is 1.08 Rs.
