As fresh water have less density as compared to that of a strong solution of salt. And because of the byoant force egg sinks in freshwater but float in a strong solution of salt.

The ability of something, float in water or some other liquid is known as buoyancy.
The density of salt water is more than that of fresh water which results in more buoyancy.
The density of the egg is higher than the density of tap water, so it sinks.
When salt is added to the water, the saltwater solution's density becomes higher than the egg's, so the egg will then float.
