As current is lesser than the current which can be maximum in the circuit.

When a high power rating appliance is operated in a 5 A current rating circuit, a large amount of heat is produced in the circuit. This leads to possible melting of insulation cover of wires and hence a short-circuit. If a fuse is used in the circuit, the fuse wire melts and the circuit is broken.
